The stakes

Enforcement is rising, and India's bar is now set

Data privacy violations are surging globally, and India's DPDPA 2023 with the 2025 Rules has raised the bar for enterprise accountability.

How Avaril fits into the process

From scattered records to audit-ready evidence

Compliance is a pipeline, not a banner. Select a stage to see the pain point, what Avaril automates, and the obligation it answers.

Discover · Data inventory & RoPA

The pain point

Enterprises process data across hundreds of systems without clear visibility of what is held, why, or for how long.

What Avaril automates

  • Records of processing with purpose, legal basis and retention mapped together
  • Retention enforced with automatic deletion after defined periods

The obligation it answers

Reasonable security safeguards depend on knowing what you hold (s.8(5)).

  • One living record per processing activity

  • Deletion runs from the policy, not a reminder

The platform

Complete compliance infrastructure for enterprises

Avaril isn't just a consent banner. It's a compliance operating system designed for enterprise complexity, closing the gaps where enterprise data gets compromised.

Data inventory & RoPA

Know what you process, where it goes and how long you keep it

The challenge

Enterprises process data across hundreds of systems without clear visibility, and SDFs must also maintain comprehensive records of processing.

How Avaril helps

A living record of processing that ties purpose, basis and retention to each system.

  • RoPA with purpose, legal basis and retention mapping
  • Retention policy enforcement with automatic deletion after defined periods
  • Automated data discovery and classification across enterprise environmentsPlanned

Data subject rights

Handle every data principal request on the clock

The challenge

Data principals hold rights over their data. Manual fulfilment is slow, error-prone and creates compliance risk.

How Avaril helps

A request workflow that routes, times and documents every interaction.

  • Request workflow with approval routing
  • SLA tracking against response timelines
  • Audit-ready documentation for every request
  • Self-service portal for data principals to submit requestsPlanned

Vendor risk

See third-party risk before it becomes your breach

The challenge

How Avaril helps

Vendors, their agreements and their assessments, linked to the processing they touch.

  • Vendor onboarding with privacy and security questionnaires
  • Data Processing Agreement template library with DPDPA clauses

AI governance

Keep automated decisions accountable

The challenge

Organizations report AI-model breaches and weak AI access controls, and DPDPA requires algorithmic due diligence from SDFs.

How Avaril helps

Breach detection & response

Run the incident clock, not a scramble

The challenge

Breach notifications are rising, and DPDPA requires breaches to be intimated to the Board and affected data principals.

How Avaril helps

An incident workflow with reporting deadlines and templates built in.

  • Incident response workflow with regulatory notification templates
  • Post-incident remediation tracking and a lessons-learned repository
  • Real-time breach detection with automated classification, forensic evidence and chain of custodyPlanned

Policy & notice management

Keep every notice current, versioned and multilingual

The challenge

DPDPA requires clear, accessible privacy notices with specific disclosures. Enterprises struggle with version control across teams and languages.

How Avaril helps

A single repository of policies and notices, with change detection and re-consent.

  • Centralised policy repository with version history
  • Automated notice generation for DPDPA compliance
  • Change detection and re-consent triggers when policies update
  • Multi-language notice translation and localisation

Significant Data Fiduciaries

DPDPA's enterprise focus

Under s.10 of the DPDP Act, the Central Government designates certain data fiduciaries as Significant Data Fiduciaries, based on the volume and sensitivity of the data they process and the risk to data principals.

Factors that inform designation

  • Volume of personal data processed
  • Sensitivity of personal data processed (financial, health, biometric, genetic)
  • Risk to the rights of data principals
  • Potential impact on the sovereignty and integrity of India
  • Risk to electoral democracy
  • Security of the State and public order

Avaril vs. stitching together point solutions

Enterprises that use separate tools for consent, RoPA, DSR, vendor risk and breach management end up with silos, gaps and audit nightmares.

What Avaril solves

Turn compliance from a cost centre into an operating advantage

  • A unified compliance operating system

The problem. Separate tools for consent, RoPA, DSR, vendor risk and breach management create silos and gaps.

Avaril. One platform with shared data models, unified reporting and cross-module automation.

  • Automated DPDPA compliance

The problem. The 2025 Rules introduce obligations, such as breach reporting, retention and SDF audits, that overwhelm manual processes.

Avaril. Pre-built DPDPA compliance templates and automated workflows, with audit-ready documentation generated as you work. A regulatory-update engine that adapts to rule changes.Planned

  • Risk detection and prevention

The problem. Breach notifications are rising, and third parties and human error are recurring causes.

Avaril. Continuous visibility of consent validity, third-party status, data flows and policy violations.

  • Board-level visibility

The problem. DPOs struggle to communicate compliance status to boards, and executives lack real-time visibility of privacy risk.

Avaril. Reporting the board can act on. Executive dashboards with compliance scores, risk heatmaps and penalty-exposure quantification.Planned

  • Global compliance, local execution

The problem. Multinational enterprises juggle DPDPA, GDPR, CCPA and LGPD with conflicting requirements.

Avaril. A DPDPA-first foundation, with a consistent experience across regions.

  • Developer-first compliance

The problem. Engineering teams view compliance as a blocker, consent banners slow pages, and DSR APIs are brittle.

Avaril. SDKs for web and mobile, and developer documentation, so integration doesn't stall a release.

  • Audit-ready, always

The problem. Annual audits and regulatory inspections take months of manual evidence collection.

Avaril. Timestamped audit trails, automated evidence generation and exportable audit reports.
