Why this matters under DPDPA
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 extends the same verifiable-consent standard that applies to children to a person with a disability who has a lawful guardian — consent must come from that guardian, and it must be verifiable, not self-attested. Treating this as a variant of a standard consent checkbox doesn't meet that standard.
